Business Development Representative

ARRI Inc., world-renowned distributor of premier professional motion picture Camera and Lighting equipment is looking for a Business Development Representative to join our team in Burbank, California. The Business Development Representative acts as the liaison between our Marketing and Sales teams. This role is to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers (ICPs), focused on the Corporate, Education and Worship markets.

We seek an initiative-taking professional who will join our sales team to identify new customer profiles to grow the utilization and adoption of ARRI’s products by the film making community. The role’s main objective is to develop the pipeline of opportunities to meet the sales targets laid out by the VP of Sales.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right person who is adept at building relationships, has strong presentation skills and is client driven.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
  • Prospect and present our company to potential clients
  • Build and develop a healthy pipeline of new business opportunities
  • Proactively generate new business opportunities in the market
  • Conduct on-going prospecting work via multichannel cadences
  • Maintain consistency week to week on their prospecting activities.
  • Contact potential clients through cold calls, emails, video and social media platforms
  • Conduct cold calls to potential clients
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
  • Keep maliciously tidy records of all activities in CRM
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and sales managers
  • Report to the Business Development Manager on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results
  • Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years’ sales experience
  • Proven track record of breaking into new markets with sales
  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Experience with CRM, Data Mining and Sales Engagement software tools (e.g. Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo)
  • Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Personal drive to find new opportunities
  • Creative writing or copywriting skills is a plus
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations
  • BS degree in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field
  • Employment Status: Salaried – Exempt – Full Time

We pride ourselves on the equipment and service we offer our customers. Supporting and developing future customers is critical to our business. Therefore, this role requires an outgoing, confident personality, strong public speaking/ presentation skills, and high attention to detail.

The right candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience working in fields relating to motion picture production. Thorough understanding of the process of production, cinematography and editing as it relates to the professional motion picture production field necessary. A working knowledge of lighting, cameras, lenses, and accessories required. Strong business acumen is desired for this role. Knowledge of TV and Film Production and ARRI Products is a plus.

If you are someone who possesses these skills and are up to the challenge, we are looking for you. The compensation range for this role within our group is $80,000-$115,000 annually. This role is also eligible to participate in a commission bonus plan. Please keep in mind that compensation offered for this role will be dependent upon an applicant’s level of experience and current applicable skill set.
